 | The gala start-up of new paints and varnishes production " Korund Colour'' took place on the 17th of June. Paints "Econom" and "Lyux" will be produced. The small-scale pilot production of paints will turn out up to 2000 tons a year. The equipment and technology are made and developed in this country. They were offered by 'Lakma-Imex'. The composition and quality characteristics of the paints and varnishes meet the strictest international requirements.
The Director of Korund Ponkratyev told the audience that it was time to use local paints instead of Tikkurilla. The Director added that it was necessary to bring home to customers that our domestic paints were as good as foreign brands. He also told the audience that their company would strive to be in the lead.
The Director of " Lakma-Imex" agreed and said that the start-up had taken place at the right moment. He said that the industry was in dire straits Domestic manufacturers meet the requirements of our Russian market only 67%. He said that the import of varnishes and paints exceeds the export four times. The thing is that Russian giants such as Yaroslavl factory, Circassian factory, Zagorsk factory have not managed to adjust themselves yet. They are unable to turn out new produce in conformity with new technologies.But demand for high-quality varnishes and paints is rather brisk. The start- up of the new production would enable Korund to sell high-quality produce to Russian customers at affordable prices.
Anatoly Lukashov who is an advisor of the Director of "Gasoneftekhimicheskaya kompaniya" had been invited to take part in the inaugural ceremony. Mr.Lukashov said that varnishes and paints production had been his dream for a long time. He also mentioned that the start-up of the production at Korund was a very pleasant surprise.
The official part of the ceremony ended with cutting the red ribbon by the General Director Ponkratyev and Kudryavtsev.A new history of the factory has begun from this moment.
They are planning to proceed to another stage in a year. They are going to put their new alkyd varnishes and enamels production into operation.
