 | The shop of railway transport of “Korund” celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2005. Cartage played a very important role in building of the factory before 1930. It was the chief means of transportation at the time. Up to a thousand of cabmen from neighboring villages and from the factory took part in the work.
Putting an ammonia-producing shop into operation took place in 1927 and an ammonium sulphate and sal ammoniac-producing shop was completed year later. The shop of red phosphorous, the shop of calcium carbide, the shop of tower sulpohuric acid were put into operation in 1929. The chlorine production, the shop of nitric acid and other installations were built in 1930. All these achievements made the administration to give more attention to the organization and improvement of railway transport of the factory. The organization of railway transport started at the factory on the 20th of May in 1930. A steam locomotive "Sv№1" built by a machine-building plant in Kolomna was brought to the factory that day. A four-shift marshalling crew, headed by engine-driver Trukhin L.I. and his assistant Golovilov V.P. began to work at 7.00 a.m.
